Video: A Personal Experience of the Divine, with Edward Viljoen, author of Ordinary Goodness

Dear Friends,

At the Center for Spiritual Living we affirm that everyone is a valid and personal experience of the Divine. We teach people how to use spiritual tools to become more aware of their experience of the Divine. Through meditation, prayer, selfless service, spiritual study, gratitude practices, and giving we learn together about the deeply personal way that the Divine shows up for each of us.

Our founder, Ernest Holmes, wrote in The Science of Mind, “What the world needs is spiritual conviction, followed by spiritual experience. I would rather see a student of this teaching prove its Principle than to have the student repeat all the words of wisdom that have ever been uttered. It is far easier to teach the Truth than it is to practice it.”

Indeed, it is far easier to accept another person’s concept of the Divine than it is to wrestle with the personal mystery of what it means to me. Nevertheless, that is exactly what spiritual living is about, each one of us finding our personal experience of the Divine and living in close contact with it.

Warm Regards,
Edward Viljoen

I have been through the book three times over three years, and am starting it again. This is not because the material in the book is not working, but because it is working so well! The weekly lessons keep me on track and focused on what is actually true and important, and help me experience more good in every area of my life. LS
